Overview

This program is perfect for those who want to dip their toes into aviation or gain a foundational understanding of what it takes to become a pilot. While soloing might be the goal, it is not a requirement. The flight hours you accumulate can count toward the requirements for a Private Pilot Certificate if you decide to pursue further training.

Near-Solo Skills

For those not ready or not seeking to solo immediately, the training ensures proficiency in:

      • Pre-flight preparation
      • Basic maneuvers (climbs, descents, turns)
      • Takeoffs and landings
      • Emergency procedures
      • Radio communications and traffic pattern work

Solo Flight Capability

For students aiming to solo, the program provides the skills and confidence necessary to conduct a supervised first solo flight.

This milestone typically involves:

      • A minimum of 10 to 15 flight hours (depending on individual progress)
      • Demonstrated competency in the safe and independent operation of the aircraft.

Who should enroll?

Aspiring Young Pilots

This program is an excellent starting point for individuals eager to begin their aviation journey early. Under FAA regulations (Part 61), students can start training and even solo as young as their 16th birthday.

Emergency Preparedness for flying Spouses or Partners

This training is designed for those who want peace of mind and skills to safely land an aircraft in an emergency. This program provides essential knowledge and hands-on experience.

Accelerated Near Solo Program Costing:

The cost of “Near Solo” training program can vary widely depending on the motivation of each applicant and their personal ending goals. Because each applicant’s goal will vary, this course is on a per-hour basis. Since the applicant does not solo under this flight training program, there is no need for a student pilot certificate. Normally, the goal is to learn basic flight skills to be able to land an aircraft in an emergency successfully. Ground school is limited to radio communications, understanding basic aerodynamics, and limited navigation skills. The duration of training is normally 7 days.

Aircraft Rental (Cessna 150) $115.00 per hour
Ground School $ 30.00 per hour

NOTE: Lodging costs are not included. This course is limited to only US citizens.

Accelerated Solo Program Costing:

Unlike the “Near Solo” training, “Solo Flight” training will place you in the cock pit as a pilot in command during a solo flight. For pricing consideration, normally this training would include 10 hours of dual flight training and 5 hours of basic ground school
culminating in a 30-minute solo flight within the airport pattern. To complete this training would require a “Student Pilot Certificate”. At the end of this training, you will be a certified student pilot with solo flight privileges for as long as you maintain your 90-day solo endorsement. The duration of training is normally 10 days.

Aircraft rental (Cessna 150) plus Ground School $1,400.00
If additional flight time is required for course completion $115.00 per hour (Cessna-150)

NOTE: Lodging costs are not included. This course is limited to only US citizens.
